Right click on the video driver and select Update Driver Software. Press (Windows key + X) and click on Device Manager. I had to uninstall and reinstall both monitors in Windows Device Manager, uninstall and reinstall my USB-C hub (which I have my external monitor plugged into), fiddle with settings in nvidia control panel, and restart like 3 times before all the sudden everything clicked and my PC is normal again. If you need to upgrade your card for gaming, I'd look into PangoBright. Obviously not as good as just having the fucking toggle work. I can pick and choose which monitors to dim. It's lightweight and works well with my multiple monitor setup. Flux wasn't able to handle multiple screens independently, but I found something called PangoBright: was recommended in another Reddit thread. I've tried some third party screen dimmers/modifiers. However, with the slim 7's we have to manually restart the computer each time we go in and out of hybrid mode - I don't want to leave it on when I'm gaming because it apparently decreases performance. This forces the system to use the iGPU when out of game, so the brightness toggle works. One thing that works is putting your Lenovo in 'Hybrid' mode - using Lenovo Vantage.
